Attitude with Jonathan Hull Magic

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes."

James Bond Exhibit by Jonathan Hull Magic

Today, my son and I went to see Designing 007: 50 Years of Bond Style in Toronto.

The exhibition displays gadgets, artwork, costumes, models (as in miniature vehicles, not the swimsuit wearing kind),

Anyone who knows me is aware that I am a big 007 fan! We were humming the 007 theme song all the way downtown.

Here are some of the highlights of the exhibition:

1) Scaramanga's gun from "The Man with the Golden Gun"

2) The suitcase in "From Russia, With Love"

3) Jaw's Teeth from "The Spy who Loved Me" and "Moonraker"

4) Odd Job's Hat from "Goldfinger"

5) A Replica of Ian Fleming's Golden Typewriter

I do have some suggestions for the organizers:

- Dress the presenters in tuxedos
- Have some 007 vehicles (rather then just small scale models) like Goldfinger's car or the boat from "The World is Not Enough"
- Get the laser from the "Goldfinger" movie

I have just scratched the surface of what was on display! If you are a fan of James Bond, go see the exhibit in Toronto!

Have a magical day from Jonathan Hull Magic!

Making Life Beautiful by Jonathan Hull Magic

Recently, I discovered a magical picture book called "Miss Rumphius."

The book asks a central question: What can I do to make the world beautiful?

A woman wants to make the world beautiful, so she decides to sow flower seeds in her neighbourhood in order to transform her world.

The flowers prosper and change the spirit of the community.

I would challenge you to get this book and read it to your children.

The goal of this blog site is to discover anything that is beautiful, thought provoking, or fun in the world and to pass it on to you!

Let the adventure begin!!
